On November 11, 2022 Dr. Walston spoke about “Defining the Biology of Robust Healthy Aging and Physical Frailty in US-based Population Studies” at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC) in Taipei, Taiwan. The conference was organized and hosted by the National Center for Geriatrics and Welfare Research of the National Health Research Institutes (NHRI). It was held November 11-12, 2022. The aim of the event was to establish a Global Aging Cohort Consortium against the growing worldwide Silver Tsunami (a metaphor used to describe population aging), through information exchange and consultation with illustrious experts around the world.
