The Geroscience Translational Clinical Trials Conference was held in Toulouse, France on March 22, 2023 before the start of the International Conference on Frailty and Sarcopenia Research 2023 on March 22-24, 2023. The Geroscience Translational & Clinical Trials Conference (GTCT) brought together international leaders from academia, clinical practice, industry and regulatory agencies all working towards the development of new drugs targeting age-related diseases to maintain functions and achieve independent and healthy aging. The different sessions gave priority to randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and studies on improving and accelerating RCTs on translational and clinical geroscience including methods, statistical models, endpoint definition and validation, biomarkers, drugs targets. The conference addressed preclinical and mechanistic studies, as well as clinical trials on animal models and humans. Pharmacological (e.g. senolytics, NAD+, m-Tor inhibitors, metformin…) and non-pharmacological interventions (diet, physical exercise, fasting, …) will be highlighted in the different sessions. This was an opportunity for key actors around the world to network and form collaborations to work towards the same goal to speed up the development of effective therapeutics to promote healthy longevity.
