Meaghan Morris, MD, PhD

Meaghan Morris, MD, PhD, is the Armstrong Scholar. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology. She is using advanced proteomic and imaging techniques to investigate factors associated with the initial spread of tau across brain regions in human tissue, with a focus in the role of inflammation and mitochondrial bioenergetic changes. Insight into these processes could identify potential therapeutic targets for preventing cognitive decline in aging and Alzheimer’s disease.
