Earlier Detection of Parkinson’s Disease

Najim Dehak, Ph.D., an associate professor of electrical and computer engineering at the Whiting School of Engineering, specializes in speech processing, and speaker and language recognition. His work, involving speaker recognition and neural networks, focuses on analyzing a patient’s voice and speech in order to provide an earlier and more accurate diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease. Dehak is the Salisbury Family CIM HAP Scholar.
